Pre-pandemic, Woodstock Farm was open to the public every weekend, but these days the sanctuary—which houses and cares for over 350 rescued animals—has had to limit guests to ticketed events. “We hope to continue doing these pop-up events because it is so important for people to stay connected with the rescued farmed animal residents,” says the farm’s Lizz Truitt. It just so happens that Woodstock Farm has an inn on site, located right on the sanctuary grounds. It’s an animal-lover’s paradise, which means The Gray Barn prohibits non-vegan foods within their slick, glass and steel farmhouse-like structure. Book a room or the entire house, which offers leafy views of the Shawangunk Ridge and a pasture in which the sanctuary’s rescued goats graze. Each booking directly supports the Sanctuary’s nonprofit rescue and advocacy work for their animals.
